Our community is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.  We have highly motivated and dedicated hard working board members and volunteers within the Civil Association, that keep us going. Please visit our site often and send us your feedback and requests on how we can make the site and your beach a better place to live. We have our Civic Association meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Golden Beach Firehouse. We welcome you to come by and meet us and hopefully join us as we plan events for our community.

President's Message

The people have spoken and we had our elections at our February meeting. I remained as President, Jim Cook is our new Vice President, and Kathy Owens remained as our Secretary/Treasurer. We also elected a new slate to our Board of Directors with some new faces joining. We are excited to continue the great work that the Civic Association has done in the past. We encourage anyone who wants to get involved with us to please drop by to one of our monthly meetings and see what we do. You will find people just like you who care about their community and want to do something about it. We plan the fun things here in the beach and we raise money to fund these events. If you want to help on the Independance Day Celebration parade and fireworks, Christmas Bazaar, Easter Egg Hunt, or the Fishing Tournament, then come on by and let your voice be heard.  We welcome all comments and suggestions. See you there ! !

 Since we get no funding, we must raise money for these events with fund raisers. Our biggest fund raiser of the year is starting this week. OUR THIRD ANNUAL MULCH SALE IS NOW GOING ON ! This Saturday you should receive a flyer at your home. ( if for some reason you do not get one they are available at the main sign in the information box ) If you enjoy the Fireworks and all the other events then we ask you to please buy your mulch from us. This is the same high quality hardwood mulch that you buy elsewhere and at about the same price. PLUS - We will deliver the mulch to your home on March 11th and stack it where you want. PLUS - You will be entered into a drawing for a free Condo for a week in Ocean City. PLUS - you can also enter a 50/50 raffle with the other people who buy their mulch from us. WHY WOULD YOU BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE?  Please support your community and order your mulch now.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who attended our last Civic meeting.  We had a full house and learned the details of the emergency communications  system that is being updated in the county. We had 2 county commissioners in attendance along with numerous Fire and Rescue people who were there to hear Bob Kelly from the Public Safety Office give us the update. We feel that they are working hard on the entire system and encouraged them to get our area as soon as possible. We also met Joe Stanalonis who is running for Judge here in St. Mary's County. We were very impressed with his credentials and the fact the he lived in Golden Beach for over 20 years. We agreed that we are going to support Joe in his bid for election and encourage everyone to jump on his bandwagon.
