WELCOME TO OUR SITE Our community is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. We have highly motivated and dedicated hard working board members and volunteers within the Civil Association, that keep us going. Please visit our site often and send us your feedback and requests on how we can make the site and your beach a better place to live. We have our Civic Association meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm at the Golden Beach Firehouse. We welcome you to come by and meet us and hopefully join us as we plan events for our community. CHECK US OUT ON FACEBOOK President's Message Our Easter Egg Hunt was a great success thanks to the families who brought their kids down for a day
of fun! We had over a hundred kids participate and the weather was perfect. When our Master of Ceremonies, Paul McGowan said
GO, the fun began and the kids took off to look for the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid. With the three different age groups
and the early start for the youngest in each group, everyone got a fair chance at getting some eggs loaded with goodies. In
each age group there were lots of candy filled eggs but also a Gold and Silver egg which could be turned in for cold hard
cash. The gold egg was $10 and the silver egg was worth $5. What a great site to see all the kids with their baskets
looking for the eggs. Even if you don't have young children, this is a site to see. We have so many wonderful families
here in the beach and it was refreshing to see a lot of them out enjoying the activities that we plan for the community. When
I and other members of the Civic Association see the faces of the kids and the support of the families that were there, we
understand why we volunteer our time to make these events happen. We invite you to enjoy this same feeling and ask more of
you to come by and meet your Civic Association and maybe join us in the fun. There are no dues, and we just meet to
plan things for your community. Our next meeting is May 3rd at the Golden Beach Firehouse at 7 pm. We will be
planning the Independance Day Parade and Fireworks. Do you have any ideas? Come by and share them with us.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt was held on April 7th at Long Point Beach. As in past years the age
groups were up to 4 yrs, 5 to 8, and 9 thru 12. At the begining of each hunt the youngest kids in that group were given
a head start and then the rest were released, giving everyone a chance to get some eggs. There was also food and drinks available
and of course the Easter Bunny was there for you enjoyment and pictures. We also want to mention that the Mechanicsville Rescue
Squad was there with their first response unit keeping us safe. Thank you to Pam and Katy who were there the entire time and
were ready to jump into action if they were needed. We sometimes forget what it takes to put together an event like this and
we really appreciate these fine ladies taking the time to come down and being there if their services were needed. Be sure
to say thanks the next time you see them. Pam and Katy are also residents of Golden Beach. We also had a 50/50 drawing and
the winner of the Amish Quilt was drawn. The weather was perfect and everyone seemed to have a good time. We also gathered
